Our Enabling Ministry is made up of six ministries that enable and empower the body of believers here at Mount Zion, as well as in the community, to experience a more memorable encounter with God. The department’s services are not confined to just Sunday but during the week it provides a safe atmosphere, volunteer opportunities, transportation, and assistance to those who have a demonstrated need.

Care Ministry and The George W. Brooks Scholarship
The primary purpose of the Care Ministry is to minister to our college students and military personnel by providing encouragement that will meet their spiritual, mental and physical needs. This group is also responsible for selecting two students every year to receive the George W. Brooks Scholarship.
The Helping Hands Ministry strives to reach those in the community who have an urgent necessity. We help them meet the need and during the process we give spiritual counseling according to the Word of God.
Hours of Operation:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 am -2:00 pm
The Security Ministry’s assist in delivering a tranquil environment for all Mount Zion parishioners, staff and volunteers. They are responsible for securing the interior and exterior of the church at all times.
The parables which speak of physical stewardship apply to all things that God gives, both material and spiritual. In 1 Peter 4:7-10 you will find a discussion of the many spiritual blessings that we are given in Christ and our responsibility for them. It ends with the admonition, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” In this, the concept of stewardship is extended
to the total ministry life of the church, all of the gifts that God gives for which we are responsible.
The Transportation Ministry administers the operation and maintenance of all church transportation. The Ministry implements safeguards in the use of all vehicles and passengers.
The purpose of the Volunteer ministry is to promote a spirit of volunteerism within the community by encouraging believers to honor and worship God by making contributions in their passionate place of service. The Volunteer Ministry also provides support to other ministries of the church in their effort to recruit, train and maintain volunteers for church and community involvement.
