Legacy Moments is where YOU have the opportunity to give recognition to anyone in your family that is leading with great examples in the community, in your family and with a spiritual impact. To submit your family member for recognition you must do the follow:
- - Submit a 300 to 500-word essay
- - Your essay must be typed
- - Please ensure that you save your essay in a word document, for your records
- - Your essay must mention how your family member has made a difference in the community, in your family and how they have made a spiritual impact. All 3 characteristics must be mentioned in your essay
To post your essay, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the text box. You may copy/paste the text of your essay into the text box. Alternatively, you can choose to type directly into the text box. If you choose this option, please double check to make sure you have spelled everything correctly. Once you have finished crafting your essay, please press the "Summit" button. This will complete the submission process for your essay. Remember to proofread and spellcheck.
Summer is wrapping up so why not end it with a bang? Summer Wave Weekend is here!! It’s going to be full of fun experiences for everyone! Whether you are a rising senior or just starting kindergarten, Summer Wave has something just for you. On Thursday, the 27th be in the fellowship hall for our children and youth community service day from 6pm-8pm. Then on Friday, the 28th, youth have their color war! Everyone will leave smothered with paint as you go against each other and try to remain colorless. Lastly, our youth is taking over the sanctuary on Sunday, July 30th. Wear all black. Join the Children & Youth Ministry as well as great Men of Valor from our community and local church as we discuss the significance of the African American Male. With headlines of black males deaths covering the pages of social media and over the screens of our television a conversation is needed. Min. Jay would like to invite all fathers, sons, uncles, grandfathers, etc to an event that will launch the next phase of male development here at Zion. Saturday, July 29th at 11am, light breakfast provided, registration is required.

Please join Caregiver Connect and AARP of the triad for the summer of health series - Life Reimagined: Navigating Life’s Transitions. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Catherine Sevier, the new AARP state president. This event will take place Thursday, August 10th, from 9:30am to 1:00pm in the chapel. Step 2 of our Growth Track (New Members Orientation) will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 am. Completion of the New Members Orientation session is a requirement for membership at Mount Zion that ideally should follow receiving Salvation and being water baptized. New Members Orientation is intended for those who are new to the church as well as those who have been attending the church but have not attended the class. Classes will be offered for children, youth and adults. We ask that you please pre-register.
Seniors, do you have a hidden talent that you’d like to share with us? Well here’s your chance! The senior adult ministry is hosting another talent show.
