Nothing we do as a church is possible without the Dream Team making it happen.
The Mount Zion Dream Team is made up of everyday people within our church who have made the intentional decision to use their time and gifts to build up others through service.
Whether it’s helping make the Sunday worship experience possible (ushers, greeters, children’s workers, production, music, etc.), serving our city through outreach events, or working on behind-the-scenes administrative projects that most people will never see, we have a spot on the Dream Team for you.
Gatekeepers (Parking Team)
Make a difference by creating the very first impression of Mount Zion. Help guests safely navigate our parking areas with a welcoming smile, clear direction, and positive energy that lets everyone know they’re expected and appreciated before they ever reach the building.

Make a difference by helping people take their next step. Whether someone is new to faith, interested in baptism, or looking to get connected, you’ll provide encouragement, information, and guidance to help them continue their journey at Mount Zion.

First-Time Guests Team
Make a difference by creating a memorable first experience for every guest. Welcome new visitors, answer questions, provide gifts and resources, and help people feel connected from their very first Sunday.

Make a difference by caring for people during moments when they need it most. Medical professionals, nurses, EMTs, and healthcare providers help ensure a safe environment by responding to medical needs with excellence and compassion.

Ushers
Make a difference by creating an organized and distraction-free worship experience. Assist guests with seating, provide assistance during services, and help ensure every worship experience flows with excellence.

Make a difference by creating a safe and secure environment where people can worship with peace of mind. Serve behind the scenes by protecting our campuses, assisting during emergencies, and helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

IMAGINE KINGDOM (Children’s Ministry – K–5)
Make a difference by investing in the next generation through engaging Bible lessons, worship, activities, and meaningful relationships that help children grow in their faith and discover God’s love.
Please note: Volunteer roles involving direct contact with minors require a minimum of six (6) months of active involvement at Mount Zion Baptist Church prior to consideration.

N.E.W. ERA (Student Ministry – Grades 6–12)
Make a difference by helping students grow spiritually, build authentic relationships, and discover their purpose. Encourage the next generation through mentorship, small groups, worship experiences, and discipleship.

Make a difference by helping ensure everyone has equal access to the Gospel. Through interpretation and communication support, you’ll help create an inclusive worship experience for members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Prayer Ministry
Make a difference by standing in the gap for others through intentional prayer. Pray with individuals before, during, and after services while providing encouragement, compassion, and spiritual support.

Make a difference by extending the love and care of Mount Zion beyond Sunday mornings. Visit those who are sick, homebound, or in need of encouragement while providing prayer, follow-up care, and compassionate support to members and their families.

Make a difference by serving our unhoused neighbors with dignity, compassion, and practical care. Help provide meals, encouragement, and hope while demonstrating the love of Christ through meaningful community outreach.

Make a difference by transforming ordinary spaces into places where people can encounter God. Help set up and prepare classrooms, worship spaces, signage, and equipment before services, then restore everything afterward so ministry can happen with excellence every week.
