Drug Take-Back

We are partnering with the Greensboro Police Department, United Healthcare, Walgreens and Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine to host Greensboro's Drug Take-Back Day. This day provides a safe, easy way to dispose of prescription drugs, while educating the local community about the potential for misuse and abuse. This event will be held on Saturday, September 9 from 9am -12pm in the Walgreens parking lot on West Market Street.

Scouts Canned Goods Take Up

The Mount Zion Girl Scouts is are earning their Silver Award and need your help! Please bring in canned goods on September 11th & 18th and drop them off in the main lobby. Let’s support our Girl Scouts as well as the hungry in Guilford County

Man Cave Monday

Men of Mount Zion! Bishop Pierce is hosting MAN CAVE MONDAY on Monday, September 11th!! Join Bishop Pierce and the Men of Valor over food, fellowship and FOOTBALL! That's right, the men will come together to watch the first part of the double-hitter where the  Saints will take on the Vikings! Registration ends Wednesday, September 6th. Registration is closed.

North Carolina Full Gospel Conference

Get ready, get ready!! The North Carolina Full Gospel Baptist Church State Conference is coming to Greensboro on September 14-15 at The Cedar Grove Tabernacle of Praise. Guest speakers Bishop Bryan J. Pierce on Thursday night, Bishop Luther Brooks on Friday night and Pastor Deon Clark on Saturday morning. Registration is required.

Fall Pack-a-Thon

On Saturday, September 30th, Feed the Hunger & Mount Zion are partnering for another Pack-A-Thon in the Fellowship Hall from 8:30am-12:00pm. A Pack-a-thon is a food packing event in which participants produce thousands of nutritious meals that will be distributed to children and families in need, both in America and internationally. Celebration of Life

Deaf Awareness Month

There is nothing wrong with the sound.  This is what the deaf community experiences during a worship service.  October 22nd is Deaf Awareness Sunday during Teamgelism month and the deaf ministry needs your help in inviting someone to church.  You may not personally know someone who is deaf, but maybe you know someone who knows someone who is, and in need of salvation or where they can worship and get an awesome Word of God.  Again thats Sunday October 22nd, invite them and let God and the deaf ministry do the rest.

Potato and a Play

Caregiver Connect Inc. presents--Potato & A Play! In honor of National Family Caregiver month, Caregiver Connect, Inc.  and GDavis Productions present Jessie & Lucy, a comedic play set in the 60's with old school music. This event will take place Friday, November 10, 2017, in the Chapel. A $15 ticket includes general admission and a meal. Potato Bar opens at 6pm, play starts at 7pm. You can purchase your ticket at any eNGAGE Center. Adventure Bible


New Members Class


Step 2 of our Growth Track (New Members Orientation) will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 am. Completion of the New Members Orientation session is a requirement for membership at Mount Zion that ideally should follow receiving Salvation and being water baptized. New Members Orientation is intended for those who are new to the church as well as those who have been attending the church but have not attended the class. Classes will be offered for children, youth and adults. We ask that you please pre-register.


Prison Ministry Interest Meeting

Did you know that there is more to the prison ministry than just visiting the prison? Sunday, February 5 at 4PM, we are going to the Greensboro Swarm Basketball Game for their Faith and Family Night.  Mount Zion is an official partner for the evening, and we have game day tickets for the first 300 register Mount Zion family members.  We also need 40 children and youth between the ages of 5 and 13 to serve as Bench Warmers for the team that evening during the pre-game events.  So grab your Greensboro Swarm attire, register  for your tickets, and sign up your youth.  We’ll see you at the game.


Marriage Event

MARRIED & ENGAGED COUPLES, you are invited to the The Love Lounge Open Mic and Karaoke Night. This night will feature food, dancing, and a live band. Couples will have an opportunity to enjoy a fun evening with their spouses and celebrate all the love in the room. The event will take place on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 at 7p at Mount Zion. As we join together in remembrance of the death, burial & resurrection of our Savior, we are reminded of the unfailing love of Jesus Christ. Beginning Monday April 3 through Wednesday April 5 @ 12pm, we will be receiving utility bill submissions from our Zion members, only. We are so excited to serve the sheep of this great flock in demonstrating the love of Jesus through assisting where there is a need.



Attention all high school Seniors and non-traditional adults entering college this fall,  the Mount Zion Scholarship Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are now available on the website.The G.W. Brooks Scholarship is designated for Mount Zion high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 and above.  The Bryan J. Pierce Community Outreach Scholarship is designed for community residents with a need.  The Jubilee Scholarship is for adults who are seeking to further their education.  The criteria, requirements, and deadline dates vary so make sure you find the one that is right for you and apply today. Feet Washing Experience

In observance of the Love and Passion of Jesus Christ, Bishop Pierce, Pastor Deb and the team will host a Foot Washing Service next Friday, April 7, at the Greensboro campus from 12 noon until 3PM. This is open to the entire congregation and is for members of Mount Zion only. As Jesus washed the feet of His disciples at the Last Supper, Bishop wants to serve you during this No Greater Love season.

Pentecost Sunday | WEAR ALL WHITE

Pull out your white attire and wear it with your church family on the fourth Sunday of May as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost Sunday is celebrated by followers of Christ recognizing that Pentecost is when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to fill and equip each believer. Pentecost Sunday also follows 40 days after Easter. So, Pull out your white attire and wear it with your church family on the fourth Sunday of May to celebrate Pentecost Sunday. 


Family and friends, you're needed as we resume packing on campus with Feed the Hunger on June 10th. With your help we can offer hope to vulnerable children at risk of starvation or malnutrition, provide immediate nutritional resources, and invest in their long-term success through education and spiritual growth. We need you, DreamTeamers, and know you have a hunger in your heart to help kids break free from poverty and hopelessness. They can know what it’s like to have full bellies, engaged minds, and the love of Christ in their lives. Together, we can equip them to change their world! A child needs you. Be the difference on June 10th from 9:00am - 12:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. All can participate, ages 3 to 103, families, friends, groups and individuals. Let's pack hope in a bag!!!! Women of Zion, we're doing it again! The Wife Light is back and this time, it is in person for all wives. Hosted by Pastor Deb and a panel of wives, you're invited to this dynamic discussion for all wives. This is an in-person event being hosted in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 27th at 7pm. Hallelujah Night

Here it is—something for our youth! Hallelujah Night will take place on Tuesday, October 31. The event will start at 6:00 pm with check-in beginning at 5:30 pm. To better accommodate families, the festivities will be held at two adjacent locations, located at 4215 and 4217 W. Gate City Blvd. Each location is limited to 100 jumpers, so be sure to register online early and complete the required waivers. Bumper Jumpers are reserved for children ages 2 to Grade 5, while Rockin' Jump are reserved for youth in Grades 6 to 12. Bring your children out for an exciting night of Hallelujah Night fun!
